She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Fidel Vergauwen and Leotina Vergauwen; her husband George VanDerHeyden; her children, Susan Smith, Diane Howenstein (John), Marilyn Kanak (Mike), Michael (Laura), John and Ronald VanDerHeyden (Deneen); and her grandchildren, Eric, Nicole, Angela, Abby and Ryan. She was also cherished by her great grandchildren.
