She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Tharrington and Grace Tharrington; her husband Ken Stran; her children, Sue Schulze and Jeff Stran; and her brother Jim Tharrington.
She is survived by: her son Tim Stran (Kelli); her children-in-law, Don Schultze and Beth Stran; her grandchildren, Emily Crossman (John), Charley Stran (Talia), Kourtney Bodnar (Scott), Kayla Kuhn (Drew), Michelle Kovacs (David) and Jeremy Schultze (Erin); and her sister Elaine Martin (Tom). She is also survived by her eleven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joyce's name may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church in celebration of their 150th anniversary.
