It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jonathan P. Bakkelund (Geneva, Illinois), born in Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on January 25, 2024, at the age of 39, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Earl, Maxine May, Donald and June Bakkelund; and his godfather John Patrick May.

He is survived by: his parents, Gary D. Bakkelund of Divinity and Pamela Bakkelund (May); and his siblings, Geoffrey Bakkelund and Theresa Wolf (Rodney). He is also survived by several uncles and cousins.
