He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Rachel Spriggs; and his sisters, Mary Ruth McCune and Rita Brand. He is survived by: his former wife Charlotte "Char" Paterson; his wife Charlotte Rempe of St. Charles, IL; his children, Rick Rempe of North Aurora, IL, Janice Rempe Clark (Doug) of Geneva, IL, Linda Rempe Nowlin (Greg) of Johns Creek, GA and Bryan Rempe (Sandy) of Johns Creek, GA; his sister Theresa Jones (Bill) of Norman, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Austin, Jack, Nick, Avery, Dylan, Danielle and Ben. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion, which can be sent in care of the Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street, Geneva, IL 60134.
