It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris J. Thompson of Geneva, Illinois, who passed away on November 25, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Doris J. Thompson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Schwendeman and Lily Schwendeman (Carlson); her granddaughter Margaret Thompson Hoepfner; and her great grandchild Judah Reagan. She is survived by: her husband Donald E. Thompson; her siblings, Margaret Murdoch of Arlington Heights and Richard of Lansing, MI; her nieces and nephews, Patricia Schreiber of Wheaton, James (Patricia) of Campton Hills, Diane Marek (Andrew) of Geneva, Judith Emery (Tom) of Texas, Daniel (Amy) of Mundelein and Andrew (Julianne) of Connecticut; and her grandchildren, Bryan Olver (Emma), Nathan Olver, Kayla Reagan (Corey), Anna Gasper (Ben), Melinda Schreiber, Jacob Thompson (Mia), William Thompson, Joseph Marek (Melinda), Daniel Marek (Shelbie), Peter Marek (Skylar), Paul Marek (Kendall), Jack Marek, Matthew Emery (Jennifer), Sarah Duvall (Mark), Kathryn Emery, Nicole Castagnola (Joseph), Lauren Meyer (Harry), Caroline Schluter (Cole), Andrew Thompson, Michael, Ella and Ryan Thompson. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Peter Catholic Church (1891 Kaneville Rd, Geneva, IL 60134). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
