He was predeceased by: his parents, Joffre "Joe" Burton and Anna Burton (Foxen); his siblings-in-law, Joe Slowiak and Bonnie Steele; and his wife Betty (Betts).
He is survived by: his daughter Monica Thing (Jim) of Elburn; his granddaughter Morgan Casey (Brendan) of Chicago; and his siblings, Patricia Slowiak of Batavia, William Burton (Anne) of Florida and James Burton (DeeDee) of Oklahoma.
