She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd and Ethel Sand (Johnson); her former husband Robert Oscar Cherry; her siblings, Vernon, Laverne, Dale Sand and Sylvia Sand Chapman; and her stepson Neil Lestor Pobanz.
She is survived by: her children, Darold Cherry and Marilynn Cherry Bourne; and her sister Elaine Sand Hamilton. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
