He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Vermost and Laura Vermost (Clark); his son-in-law Raymond Tarbay; and his brother-in-law Robert Tanner. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Vermost; his children, Robin Ropp (Bruce) of Geneseo, IL, Nina Tarbay of Roscoe, IL, Jodi Verbeck (Dennis) of Atkinson, IL and Joel Vermost (Paula) of Geneseo, IL; his sister Frances Tanner of Prophetstown, IL; his grandchildren, Jordan Black (Jett), Jaymeson Tarbay, Eddie Tarbay (Amara Wheeler), Ivy Tarbay, Austin Verbeck (Karen), Grace Verbeck, Jenna Vermost and Mitchell Vermost; and his great grandchildren, Stormy Black, Belle Black, Jack Verbeck and Isla Verbeck.
