He was predeceased by: his parents, H. Edgar Colter and H. Lucille Colter (Burnside); his wife Evelyn Sundvall; his brother G. Allen Colter; his grandson Kevin Colter; and his stepmother Murphy Colter.
He is survived by: his son Gary Colter (Rebecca) of Cambridge, IL; his grandson Scott Colter (Tracy); his great grandchildren, Keith Colter, Jenna Colmer, Neo Colter and Xanthia Colter; his great great grandchildren, Jordian Perez, Kevin Colter and Jaela Perez; and his nieces and nephews, Reba Winegardner, Sheila Colter, Don and Jim Schaffer.
