It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Humbert of Geneseo, Illinois, who passed away on June 26, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Thorp and Ethel Thorp (Dirck); her husband Francis "Pete" Humbert; her children, Gary Humbert and Nancy Humbert; her granddaughter Missy Peterson; and her siblings, Donald Thorp and Bethene Painter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Anne Peterson of Geneseo, IL, Karen Humbert, Becky Layman (Bob) and Trudy O'Neill (Tim); her grandchildren, Scott Peterson, Jason Jackson, Jessica Birmingham, Meagan O'Neill, Shawn O and Neill; and her great grandchildren, Tyler, Haylee Witte, Jonah and Will Jackson.
Memorials may be directed to the Hammond Henry Hospital Auxiliary or St. Malachy Catholic Church.
