With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Violet Schaffer of Geneseo, Illinois, born in Osco, Illinois, who passed away on March 11, 2023 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Violet Schaffer to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lars Sundvall and Mae Christanson Sundvall; and her sisters, Margaret and Evelyn. She is survived by: her sons, Donald Schaffer (Barbara) of Ava Maria, FL and James Schaffer (Kathy) of Oswego; and her grandchildren, Kristin, Brian, Mark, Michael, Robert, Emily and Briana. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Orion.
