He was predeceased by: his parents, Aureliano Lopez and Antonia Lopez (Navarro); his wife Alice Lopez of Malachy's Catholic Church; and his siblings, Rose Lopez, Vincent and Andrew Lopez.

He is survived by: his children, Pam Tone (Ryan) of Hampton, IL and Robert "Moe" Lopez Jr. of Palatine, IL; his brothers, Arthur Lopez and Michael Lopez (Gail); his grandchildren, Tim Rockstroh, Melissa Henderson (Chris), Kristina Lopez-Kukula (Chris), Madeline Krueger (Zach), Elizabeth Lopez and Benjamin Lopez; his great grandchildren, Aaliyah Ball, Kiersten Henderson, Kiera Henderson and Urijah Tone-Henderson; and his close friend Margie Martin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bob's name to the Geneseo Football Booster Club.
