She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray L. Hier and Gertrude Hier (Heinrich); and her spouse Phill Emmerson. She is survived by: her children, Patsy L. DeFauw (Bob) of Annawan and James P. Emmerson (Peggy) of Sheffield; and her siblings, Anna Lou Littlefield and Wendell Hier. She is also survived by four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and ten step-great-grandchildren.
