He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth File and Elizabeth File (Dailey). He is survived by: his wife Jo MacMillan; his children, Matt File (Lynn), Cris Arduser and Patricia Rees; his sister Marlo Winters (Robert); and his grandchildren, Blaine File (Alison), Megan Arduser, Samantha Jasper, Amanda Hull (Nick), Summer Wyant (Ben), Raeanne Norton (Jack) and Rachel Burbridge. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pheasants Forever, the NRA, Ducks Unlimited, Waterfowl USA, or Delta Waterfowl.
