She was predeceased by: her parents, Jonas Shetler and Sophia Shetler (Wolf); her husband Paul Kirkland; her grandsons, Mike Franzen and Shane Ekin; her sons-in-law, Wayne Browning and Dellwyn Franzen; her siblings, Merle Shetler, Anna Brugman, Laura Fuhlman, John Shetler and Dorothy Shetler; and her close friend Stanley Speller.
She is survived by: her children, Gerry Kirkland (Carol) of Rock Hill, SC, Bonnie Browning of Paducah, KY, Karen Franzen of Muscatine, IA and Marcia Ekin (Donald) of Cambridge, IL. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Memorials can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Institute.
