We bid farewell to Mary Jo Cherry of Geneseo, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 5, 2025 at the age of 84. Mary Jo touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Verkruyse and Rachel Verkruyse; and her siblings, Bruce, Gladys (Roesner) and Jean (Plunkett Causemaker).
She is survived by: her husband Mike Cherry; her sister Kathy (Tipple); and her sons, Mark (Karen) and Mick (Teresa). She is also survived by grandchildren, and seventeen adored great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the St. Malachy's Paraclete Fund.
