She was predeceased by: her parents, Clement Plasschaert and Marie Plasschaert (DeBoever); her husband Ramon A. Chavez; her son Michael Chavez; her siblings, Margaret Plasschaert and Robert Plasschaert; and her granddaughter Justine Chavez.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Mapes of Geneseo and Toni Hunter (Barry) of Davenport, IA; her daughter-in-law Margaret Chavez of Geneseo; and her grandchildren, Lisa Conard (Shawn), Michael Chavez (Mercy), Angela Hays, Meredith Holt (Andrew), Nicholas Sable (Neva) and Lezlee Hays. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
