She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Swanson and Mayme Swanson (Abramson); her husband Elwyn Borkgren; and her siblings, Forrest Swanson, Everett Swanson, Marvin Swanson, Larry Swanson, Roger Christiance and Jane Swanson.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Johnson (Mark) of Oak Park, Cheryl Saint Vincent (Jerry) of Geneseo, Rick Borkgren (Martha) of Woodhull and Randy Borkgren (Terri) of Cambridge; her siblings, Gloria Hepner, Linda Storm (Stan), Sharon Hulick (Gene) and Darrell Swanson (Julie); her grandchildren, Jason (Brandy), Kyle (Misty), Alex Borkgren (Kelly), Elena, Eric Johnson, Nick (Molly), Chad Borkgren (Emily) and Becky Hornblower (Scott); and her stepgrandsons, Roger (Rachel) and Craig Saint Vincent. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church or Abilities Plus.
