He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Barnes (Marjorie Barnes) and Marjorie Barnes (Tohren); his son Alan Barnes (Al); his stepson Kerry Hatcher; his great grandchild Carter Tjarks; and his siblings, David Barnes and Elaine Slaight.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Barnes; his children, Bill Barnes of Beaumont, TX, Kraig Hatcher of Geneseo, IL, Shari Morotti (John) of Las Vegas, NV and Kelly Johnson of Geneseo, IL; and his sister Linda. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Larry R. Barnes Memorial Fund to be distributed amongst local charities.
