With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Judith Smith of Geneseo, Illinois, born in Galesburg, Illinois, who passed away on September 6, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Brokaw and Bernadine Brokaw (VanDervort). She is survived by: her husband James L. Smith; her son Raul Melgar-Smith of Madison, WI; her siblings, Bill Brokaw (Jackie) and Nancy Brokaw; her sister-in-law Sue Glanz; and her friends, Joyce and Gary Meling. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Hammond-Henry Hospital Foundation, Judith Ann Brokaw was born April 17, 1939, in Galesburg, IL, the daughter of Wilbur and Bernadine (VanDervort) Brokaw.
