She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Salzer and Leona Salzer (Erdman); her husband William Sterling; and her siblings, Linda Talbot, Laverne and Lawrence Salzer.
She is survived by: her children, Loretta Pierce-Davenport (Troy DeMay), Robert Burris-Galva (Lacey), Brad Burris-Geneseo and Ronald Burris-Geneseo; her brother Jim Salzer of Davenport; her grandchildren, Damien, Miranda (Zack), Devin, Seth, Sarah, Benjamin, Addyson, Jaxx, Kamron, Donovan and Michaela; and her great grandchild Paisley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Joyce's family.
