He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Jane and Charles Russell; and his grandparents, Warren and Anne Griffin. He is survived by: his wife Karen Russell of Geneseo, IL; his sons, Scott (Tami) of Rock Island, IL, Steve (Chris) of Phoenix, AZ and Shawn of State Center, IA; his siblings, Diane Box of East Moline, Jim Matson of Ridgecrest, CA and Rick Matson of Silvis; and his grandchildren, Kyle Russell, Eric Russell, Jacob Russell (Hope), Lindsey Kunz (Steven), Austin Russell, Jessica Russell and Courtney Russell.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vandemore Funeral Home - Geneseo (580 E Ogden Ave, Geneseo, IL 61254). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
