He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman and Flora; and his sister Elizabeth Root. He is survived by: his spouse Debbie Wilson; his sons, Matthew Wentz (Christina) of Geneseo and Luke Wentz (Devon); his grandchildren, Rosella, Ryne, Zarah, Caleb, Heath and Anava; his brothers, Charles Wentz (Teresa) of East Moline and Paul Wentz (Jackie) of Milan; and his brother-in-law Ron Root.
