He was predeceased by: his father Ki Vandemore; his stepfather Jim Will; his aunt Joann Vandemore; his stepsister Rhonda Diericx; and his great-nephew Luke Timmerman.
He is survived by: his mother Mary Margaret Ullrick; his spouse Janel Longhorn; his daughters, Emma Vandemore (Joey Lambin) of Alpha, IL and Amelia "Mia" Vandemore; his siblings, Tina VanOpDorp (Rock), Robin VanMeenen (Jim), Terry Vandemore (Jill) and Tom Vandemore (Virg); his stepsisters, Deb Viane, Pam Fisher and Julie Langford; his nieces and nephews, Martha Ries (Jim), Tony Vandemore (Kate), Anne Hempel (Robert), Molly Timmerman (Andrew) and Maggy Spivey (Blake); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Abigail Vanderploeg, Cooper Ries, Emmy Timmerman, Jack Timmerman, Victoria, Vivian Vandemore, Auggie, Greta Hempel and Mason Spivey.
In lieu of flowers, donations can made to the Joel Vandemore Memorial Fund which will be used for his daughters, Emma and Mia, and for a scholarship to be established and given annually to a Henry County 4-H swine show participant.
