He was predeceased by: his parents, Medard DeBruyne and Mary DeBruyne (Lenoir); his wife Doreen DePauw; his brother Charles "Charlie" DeBruyne; his nephew Joseph DeBruyne; and his great-niece Ann Sowells.
He is survived by: his sons, Shawn DeBruyne of Mountain Home, AR and Chad DeBruyne of Longview, TX; his brother-in-law Richard DePauw (Marlene) of Moline, IL; his nephew Todd Glazier (Alyce) of Plano, TX; his nieces, Becky Canfield (Jerry) of Geneseo, IL, Chris Elsberg (Rick Jewell) of Rock Island, IL and Melinda Brown (Duane) of Coal Valley, IL; and his friend Doreen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Malachy's Catholic Church, 595 E. Ogden Avenue, Geneseo, IL, 61254.
