Jeff Drouin Obituary
Jeff Michael Drouin was a larger than life and loving husband, father, brother and friend. His life ended way too early on November 11, 2021, at age 49 due to a rare form of dementia, frontotemporal degeneration.
He was born to John and Patricia Drouin on June 29, 1972, and his short life was jammed packed with experiences. Jeff lived in 8 different states and 2 different countries. After graduating from high school, Jeff started his childhood dream of joining the Marine Corps where he was a forward observer in the 2nd Anglico platoon that completed airborne reconnaissance missions. After an honorable discharge as a Corporal, Jeff attended The Ocean Corporation where he became a certified commercial diver and had adventures all over the U.S. repairing underwater pipelines for American Oilfield Divers. He then moved to Colorado and began his career in geotechnical engineering, where he was a manager of quality control for many highways, roads and parking lots that were laid in Northern Colorado. Jeff met his wife, Jenna, through a roommate finding service in Colorado. Together, they had two children: Jack and Coral. Jeff also has an older son, Casey, from a previous marriage.
Jeff was the Clark Griswold of his family, decking the halls for every holiday, making delicious turkey, assembling gifts till the crack of dawn, and taking videos of every moment. Rocky was his inspiration, and he never missed a day of boxing or any of the Rocky movies. Shark Week was *life*, and so were 7-11 Slurpees, tattoos, Seinfeld, pranks, California, surfing, biking, horror movies, dogs and 80s metal. Jeff loved to say, "This ain't no fashion show!" And "Brush your fangs and hit the rack!" Life is very quiet without his huge laugh and presence.
He is survived by his wife, Jenna Drouin, children, Casey Dvorak, Jack Drouin, and Coral Drouin, four siblings, Scott Drouin, Jon Drouin, Lori Testa, and Debi Baker, and his parents-in-law, Jim and Pam Frederich.
A celebration of life will be a burial at sea in San Diego, CA with close family and friends in March 2022. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the AFTD (Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration) on Jeff's behalf.
