It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Harley A. Johnson of Geneseo, Illinois, who passed away on September 21, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Johnson and Alfreida Johnson (Carlson); his brothers, Harold, Reynold and John Johnson; and his grandson Anthony Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Johnson; his children, Steven A. Johnson of Dekalb, Lynette Johnson of Geneseo, Joleene Fluegel (Rich) of Geneseo and Vanessa Tarkington (Todd) of Geneseo; and his grandchildren, Dee Buttgen (Tom), Christopher Johnson (Raina), Travis DeSplinter (Meagan), Keith DeSplinter (Dennale Yarbrough), Tanner and Tucker Tarkington. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; six step-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Harley's family to be dispersed to his favorite charities.
