He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Grib and Anne Grib (Valicka); his son Jeffrey Louis; his sister Barbara Campbell; and his grandson Derek Grib.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Grib of Geneseo; his children, Deborah Wolfe (Kenton) of Geneseo, David Grib of Janesville, CA and Christopher Grib (Rebecca) of Covington, OH; his grandchildren, Larissa Hynes (Tyler), Evan Wolfe, Lauren Grib, Christopher Grib, Mariena Grib, Drew Grib, Alyssa Grib, Kelsey Grib, Jessica Ryan (Zach) and Reiley Grib; and his great grandchildren, Kira Montejano, Delaney Grib, Eva Grib, Zoe Avalos and Zena Avalos. He is also survived by three great-grandsons.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Malachy Catholic Church (595 E Ogden Ave, Geneseo, IL 61254). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
