He was predeceased by: his parents, George Eilers and Hazel Eilers (Becker); his siblings, Alvina DeSplinter, Ruth Eilers, Alvin, Frank and Kenneth Eilers; and his siblings-in-law, Cheryl Eilers, Kate Eilers, Joan Eilers, Marlene DeSplinter and Ron DeSplinter.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis DeSplinter of Geneseo; his children, Sherri Mapes (Frank) of Atkinson and Steve Eilers (Candy) of Rotonda West, FL.; his grandchildren, Ariane Gaudreault (Paul), Steven Eilers, Patrick Mapes and Scott Mapes (Melissa); his great grandchild Gianna Mapes; his stepgreat-grandson Jayden Brewster; his sister Venita Ewing; and his sister-in-law Eileen Eilers.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hammond Henry Hospital Foundation or the Geneseo Fire Department.
