She was predeceased by: her mother Rose Richter Wilber; her brother Willis; and her pets, Dino, Squeak and Dottie.
She is survived by: her husband Norman G. Steine (Swede); her son Brian Steine (Teina) of Grinnell, IA.; her grandchildren, Teeocka McGrath of Boise, ID, Sarah Steine (Thomas Kinzebach) of Gibson, IA, Aaron Steine of Newton, IA and April Teska (Joel) of Damascus, AR; and her great grandchildren, Cayden Kinzebach, Kylee Kinzebach and Gracelynn Teska.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Elsie's memory to The Alzheimer's Association or your local Humane Society.
