It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy M. Armstrong of Geneseo, Illinois, born in Kewanee, Illinois, who passed away on August 18, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Widger and Irene Widger (Talbot); her husband Charles Splear; her son Sam Splear; her son-in-law Vern DeWitt; her grandson Jamie Verbeck; her sister Betty Packee; and her half-brother Paul Truleson.
She is survived by: her daughter Jeanette DeWitt of Atkinson; her grandchildren, Roman Verbeck (Jennifer), Taunya McGee (Shawn) of Tobias and Tony Nelson; her great grandchildren, Jamison Jaycee, Jordan Verbeck, Abbigail, Hannah, Rachel McGee, Kaden, Bryson, Mya Splear and Gabe Nelson; her daughter-in-law Lorraine Splear; her half-brother Jackie Brouse; and her niece Janice Drawyer.
