With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donna Jean Taets Grieve of Geneseo, Illinois, who passed away on February 9, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Hull and Mary Hull (Russell); her husbands, Francis Taets and Dean Grieve; her daughter Karen Foster; and her siblings, James Hull, Sandra Kellett, Kathy Williams and Ruth Ann Miller.
She is survived by: her children, James Taets (Lynn) of Littleton, CO, Charles Taets (Theresa) of Geneseo, IL, Lee Ann Hammett (Paul) of Mountainview, AR and Gina Peterson (Keith) of Geneseo, IL; her son-in-law Daune Foster of Sherrard, IL; her sister Carol Gotthardt of Rock Island, IL; and her grandchildren, Matthew, Steven, Nicholas Foster, Phil Taets, Courtney Zobrist, Kelsey Taets, Travis Specht, Bobbi Casas, Ashley Moore, Shawna Taets and Derek Taets. She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Vandemore Funeral Home - Geneseo (580 E Ogden Ave, Geneseo, IL 61254). Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the St Jude's Children Hospital or Wounded Warriors.
