He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ritter and Nina Ritter (Murphy); his wife Arvilla Ritter; his grandsons, Leevon Ritter and Cody Tuttle; and his brother Robert Ritter.
He is survived by: his children, Les Ritter (Roxanne) of Geneseo, IL, James Ritter (Carol) of Vernon, AL, Diana Bos of Geneseo, IL and Teresa Tuttle (Steve) of Ravena, OH; and his brothers, Jerry Ritter (Joanne) and Fred Ritter. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Loraine Church (28782 E 2000th St, Prophetstown, IL 61277).
