With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David E. Paxton of Geneseo, Illinois, who passed away on August 10, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though David may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward E. Paxton and Marjorie M. Paxton (Bouwens); and his siblings, Larry Paxton and Janet Paxton. He is survived by: his wife Monica L. Schweninger; his sister-in-law Shelley Paxton; his aunt Elaine; and his uncle Gene Bouwens. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
