She was predeceased by: her father Marvin Bauwens; her grandparents, Camiel, Martha Bauwens, Earl and Virginia Carroll; her niece Meghan Howe; and her father-in-law Harold Newton.

She is survived by: her mother Joyce Bauwens; her husband Vince Newton; her daughter Carlie (Colton Sanchez); her sisters, Debbie Sherbeyn (Tom), Nancy Archer (Ed) and Shirley Howe (Wes); her mother-in-law Joanne Newton; and her siblings-in-law, Scott Newton, Eric Newton (Katharina) and Kara Barnes (Dan). She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
