He was predeceased by: his brother Jim Snyder; his nephew Spencer Snyder; and his brother-in-law David Crosby. He is survived by: his spouse Joyce Eaton; his children, Cathy Dow of Malta, IL, Chris Snyder (Betty), Becky Gerber (Kris) and Phil Snyder (Sara); his grandchildren, Julia, Noah, Isabella Lewis, Adeline Moore, Annie and Martin Gilbert; his sisters, Barbara Crosby and Lisa Snyder; and his sister-in-law Mary Sue Snyder of Temperance, MI..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Malachy Catholic Church or the Geneseo Atkinson Food Pantry.
