He was predeceased by: his parents, Gale Smith and Doris Smith (Hawthorne); and his sisters, LaVonne Schumaker and Donna Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Mary M. Schneider; his children, Brian Smith (Sandy) of Cambridge, IL, Deborah Clemmons (Ken), Teresa Anthony (Gerald) and Patricia Rusk (Mike); his grandchildren, Jared, Jesse (Frank), Stan (Ashley), Doug (Heather), Kyle, Nicholas, Christopher, Seth (Jessica), Spencer (Macy Brants) and Sydney; his great grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Levi, Liam, Dameon, Bailee, Carson, Garrett, Hadley, Wyatt, Kayden, Kash, Khloe, Braxton and Teddy; his sister Bette Clarke; and his brother-in-law Rodney Johnson.
Memorials may be directed to the Carl Smith Memorial Fund and will be distributed among several local charities.
