He is survived by: his wife Ethel Achterhof; his children, Mary Ellen Zirkelbach (Mark) of Johnston, IA, John Achterhof (Susie Muir) of Los Angeles, CA and Janice Achterhof of Geneseo, IL.; his grandchildren, John Alan Zirkelbach, Jane Jensen and Erin Jackson; and his great grandchildren, Brock, Izaac, Chloe Jensen, Malachi and Zea Jackson.
