He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Auvil and Gaynell Auvil (Farris); his son Rickey Auvil; and his sisters, Alberta Robertson and Kay Deal.
He is survived by: his children, Vicky McKean (David) of Fairfield, Illinois, Mike Auvil (Tonya) of Huntingburg, Indiana, Brad Auvil (Sheila) of Fairfield, Illinois and Mark Auvil (Martha) of Fairfield, Illinois; and his siblings, Irene Tucker of Fairfield and Sonny Auvil (Katie) of Flora, Illinois. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
