Edward F. Lowe Obituary

Edward "Ed"" F. Lowe, 85, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital on June 13th, 2018, with family by his side. Ed was born to Clifford and Gladys (Libotte) Lowe on May 22nd, 1933 in Gays, Illinois. Ed graduated from Kokomo High School in 1952, then served our country in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. Afterwards, he went on to work at Chrysler Transmission, retiring in 1989. He married Nancy Gardner on May 3rd, 1968 and she survives him. Ed loved to hunt and fish. He was a huge Notre Dame fan. He adored his grandkids. Ed enjoyed gardening flowers and tomatoes. Spending time outside on the porch was one of his favorite pastimes. He was a member of Local 685. Ed will be missed dearly by his family. Ed is survived by his wife, Nancy Lowe; daughter Marsha Little; sister-in-law Bert Simpson; 3 grandchildren Brittany Little, Matthew Little, and Jarrett Little; and 2 nephews. Ed is preceded in passing by his parents; daughter Cynthia Lowe; sister Judith James; brother-in-law Joe Gardner; nephew Tony James; and Army buddy, Marv Papke. Friends and family may call from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 16th at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 2:00PM, officiated by Pastor Steve Cole.
