He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Nelson and Nina Howland (Hahn); and his sisters, Iola Howland, Helen Lighty, Grace Schieler and Shirley Bussey.
He is survived by: his wife Doreen; his daughter Jill Disimoni (Dave) of Roscoe, Illinois; his granddaughter Jody Douthit (Wade) of Newalla, Oklahoma; his great grandchildren, Caleb and William; his sister-in-law Debbie Cernauskas (Dave) of Joliet; and his nieces and nephews, David, Dale, Carol Halpin, Benny and Sheila Conger.
