We are sad to announce that on July 6, 2024, at the age of 90, Jean Stedman of Gardner, Illinois, born in Ruleville, Mississippi passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jean Stedman to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas Hanna and Leo Hanna (Clark); her husband James Stedman; her children, Barb Smith and Michael Stedman; and her grandson Jimmy Smith.

She is survived by : her children, Dorothy Stedman of Godley, Debbie Knepper (Ken) of Braidwood and Bob Stedman (Debbie) of Cleveland, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Bobby Stedman, Jr. (Sara), Jeremy Smith, Holly Smith (Cody Kuehni), Frank L. Staats (Marissa McCarthy), Brandon Jansen, Adam Jansen, Chris Jansen and Francie Vignochi; her close friend Sheryl Holcomb; her caregiver Annette Lingwai; and her pet Boris. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, July 13th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Reeves Funeral Home (75 N Broadway St, Coal City, IL 60416). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, July 13th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery (700 Williams St, Wilmington, IL 60481).
