Janice E. Jirus Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice E. Jirus of Gardner, Illinois, born in Morris, Illinois, who passed away on November 23, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy Tomastick and Mary Louise Tomastick (Yatuni); her brother Peter Nelson; and her father-in-law Joseph Jirus. She is survived by: her husband Robert Jirus; her children, Brian Jirus (Heather) of East Brooklyn and Kelley Johnston (Al) of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Alyssa Johnston and Anthony Johnston; her sister Linda Crane of Pontiac; her mother-in-law Unetta Jirus of East Brooklyn; her sisters-in-law, Bonnie Nelson of Wisconsin and Helen Elliott (Larry) of East Brooklyn; and her friends, Lorraine Borvansky, Robin Sorenson and Mona Sorenson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Janice's memory to either the South Wilmington or Gardner Fire Protection Districts or Emmanual Lutheran Church.
