He is survived by: his wife Kay Bell of Gardner; his children, Brian Bell of Washington, Illinois and Danette Hadfield (Robert) of Metamora, Illinois; his stepsons, Michael Bexson of Gardner, David Bexson (Angela) of South Wilmington, Jeffrey Bexson (Joy) of Gardner and Joe M. Bexson, Jr. of Madison, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Madelyn Reneau (Cory) of Washington, Illinois, Logan Hadfield (Taylor) of Low Point, Illinois, Cassandra Carlson (Jeff) of Gardner, Kristen Cullman (Luke) of South Wilmington, Jayson Turrentine of Plainfield, Benjamin Bexson of Gardner, Christopher Bexson of Gardner, Tyler Bexson (Dion) of Madison, Wisconsin, Henry Bexson of Madison, Wisconsin, Riley Bexson of Madison, Wisconsin, Chloe Bexson of Madison, Wisconsin and Sofia Bexson of Madison, Wisconsin; his great grandchildren, Hadley Reneau of Washington, Jackson, James Cullman of South Wilmington, Olivia and Kelsey Carlson of Gardner; his sister Carol Bell-Shelly (Tom) of Excelsior, Minnesota; and his siblings-in-law, Lynne Kociss (James) of Morris and Robert Pickles (Sharon) of Gardner. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Reeves Funeral Home (203 Liberty St, Gardner, IL 60424). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Braceville Gardner Cemetery (7295 E Braceville Rd, Braceville, IL 60407).
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Daniel's memory to the Gardner Emergency Squad, Church of Hope, or any dog rescue organization of the donor's choice.
