He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Bowman and Velma Bowman (Kerr). He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou of Galva, IL; his children, Kelly Smithson of Kewanee, IL and Brian "B. J."; his sister Jaxine Petty (Roger) of Coon Rapids, IA; and his brother-in-law Larry Epperly.
