It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas E. Derick of Galva, Illinois, born in Kewanee, Illinois, who passed away on July 27, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" and Christina Derick (Dolieslager); his siblings, Jim and Rosalie Gray; his daughter Joanne Petty; and his grandson Jerrod McBride.
He is survived by: his children, Connie Kersey of Kewanee, Denise McBride of Pekin, Steve Derick (Julie) of Atkinson, Karen Rohrig of Galesburg, Linda Bridgewater (Bobby) of Kewanee and Debbie Boswell (Gary) of Kewanee; and his siblings, Denny Derick (Nancy) of Bradford and Janice Beall of Kewanee. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.
