He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Melton and Lilly Melton (Cathcart); his brother Dale; and his son Randall. He is survived by: his wife Dixie M. McAllister; his daughter Cathy Merritt of Sun Lakes, AZ; his daughter-in-law Nancy Melton of Sun Lakes, AZ; his grandchildren, Corey Merritt, Brian Merritt, Adam Melton, Megan Bilek and Zach Melton; and his sister Mary Jensen of Galva.
