He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Howard Winter II and Mildred Irene Winter (Smith); his siblings, Robert, Irvin, Gene, Joyce, Doris and Susie; his son Paul Winter (Crislyn); and his son-in-law Dennis Bailey.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Winter (Gail) of Galesburg, Richard Winter (Cheryl) of Dunlap, Denise Bailey of Knoxville, Rhonda Callahan (Roger) of Galesburg, Terry Shryack of Galesburg, Gary Shryack of Galesburg, Julie Peachey (Kevin) of Varna, IL and Tim Shryack (Ruth) of Springfield, MO; his sisters, Virginia Young of Galva, Henrietta Todd of Galva and June Klimkewicz of Kewanee; and his great grandchild Paul. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Galva American Legion or Hospice Compassus.
