He was predeceased by: his parents, James Marvin Rasmussen and Janice Lewis (Thrasher). He is survived by: his siblings, Kelli Sargeant and Jerry Rasmussen of Kewanee; his stepmother Rose Rasmussen of Kewanee; his close friend Sue; and also Joe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the Henry County Humane Society or to OSF Hospice.
