He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Burton, Eleanor Empson, Russell T. and Ruth Kelly; his stepgrandmother Shirley Kelly; his aunts and uncles, Casey, James Empson, Rosemary Empson and Jane Nelson; his stepfather Eddy Smith; and his pet Milo.
He is survived by: his parents, Krisann Katherine Empson I. (Kelly) of Galva and Daniel Empson of Altona; his children, Shanlin (Mike), Fujimoto of Maui, Alexandra Empson of Peoria and Abbigail Empson of Princeville; his grandchildren, Dagan, Dalus, Dante and Sherrie Fujimoto; his half-sister Thali Empson; his stepsisters, Amy Groeper (Brian) of Brimfield and Sheila Smith; his great-aunt Marilyn Kelly of Galva; his aunts, Kay Palmer of Cambridge, Amy Empson of Maui, Kelly Empson and Teresa Fell (Keith) of Oneida; his uncle Andrew Empson of Long Beach, CA.; his close friend Tara Petrowski of Green River; and also, Alani and Alonzo of Kewanee.
